Saturday was a great day with many accomplishments within the club. The skies were blue, but Mike Ketteman was able to stay away all afternoon in his Libelle! There were quite some flights and thermal activity was present. Both Courtney and Tucker flew for the first time in the Schweizer 1-26 and I was able to get my first and second flight in the Ka-6. It was a great experience to transition from the 1-26 to the higher performance of the Ka-6, the ease of thermalling got me to 5,000 ft altitude when the thermals peaked for the day. Besides the gliding we also had the time to give the club gliders a nice yearly wash!
Below a small impression of the day with photos from both Courtneys and Tuckers first 1-26 flights!
